Ulsan and Gyeongnam are regions where various housing and construction-related public organizations including Korea Land and Housing Corporation,
are located at and these organizations carry out many major smart city and urban regenerations projects.
Gyeongnam, in particular, has been selected in 2019 for the ‘Smart City Challenge Project’ and ‘Smart City Themed Complex Development Project’ posted by the Ministry of Land,
Infrastructure and Transport and, it is expected that there will be a significant increase in demand for regional workforce because of these projects.
Not only that, Ulsan and Gyeongnam are interesting regions in which urban and rural areas are intricately connected and because of this reason,
many development projects are being carried out in agricultural and fishing villages. To satisfy this demand for workforce,
the Smart City and Construction program offers a variety of regular and extra curricular studies to cultivate competent regional talent.

growing human resources who can solve the various problems of

Development・Implementation of PBL education programs led by
students using flipped learning with online content and on-site
participation・practice
Constructing a local education community using government
offices and local teaching resources
Transferring・sharing know-how for problem-solving through
cooperation with on-site expert

The Community Innovation program is the only humanities program in USG Shared University and
it’s aim is to cultivate innovative individuals who could contribute to solving various social problems communities face.
The program offers various types of practical training and lectures including living labs, capstone design and archiving.
so that students could strengthen practical skills as well as theoretical knowledge needed to identify, analyze and solve community problems.
The program also offers various special lectures that give the students opportunities to interact with community experts and fruitful Extra. programs like facilitator training program.
